SpainVisaGuide is free to read. We pay for it partly through affiliate links. This page explains exactly what that means, because you deserve to know how a site you are trusting with a visa application makes its money.
What an affiliate link is
Some links to services (health insurance, banking, lawyers and gestores, sworn translation, apostille) are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, the partner pays us a commission. It costs you nothing extra: the price is the same as if you had gone there directly.
Why we do it this way
These are services a visa applicant has to buy anyway. Rather than charge you for the guides, we earn from the services you were always going to need, which keeps the whole site free.
What commission never changes
This is the part that matters:
- Commission never buys a higher ranking or a place on a comparison. We do not sell position.
- Provider facts carry a verification date. A claim we have not checked is shown as "not verified", never dressed up as a badge.
- We list services on their merits for your application, not on what they pay.
Where you will see it
Wherever a page carries an affiliate link, a short disclosure line sits right next to it, so you are told at the point of the click, not only here and not only in the footer. That is what the FTC's "clear and conspicuous" guidance asks for, and we agree with it.
