Cookie policy

A cookie is a small file a site stores in your browser. We keep our use of them to a minimum, and nothing optional runs until you say yes.

Strictly necessary

One signed, encrypted session cookie keeps you logged in and protects forms against cross-site request forgery. It is set only once you have a session <login ships with accounts epic>, holds no marketing data, and is required for the site to work, so it needs no consent.

Two more small cookies exist purely to run the choice below: one remembers your accept/reject decision so we do not ask again, the other is a short-lived token that stops someone else's page from submitting the choice form on your behalf. Neither holds marketing data, and both are themselves strictly necessary. The cookie policy this page describes cannot be enforced without remembering what you chose.

Analytics: Plausible

We measure traffic with Plausible. It is cookieless: it sets no cookie at all, stores no personal data, and does not track you between sites. Because it cannot identify you, it runs always and needs no consent.

Optional: set only after you consent

Two kinds of optional cookie stay switched off until you accept them through the consent banner shown at the bottom of every page until you answer it:

  • Google Analytics 4 (GA4): a second, more detailed analytics layer that does use cookies.
  • Affiliate cookies: set by our partners when you follow an affiliate link, so they can credit the referral to us.
Saying no changes nothing that matters

If you decline the optional cookies, the site still works fully: your checklist and the links out to partner services behave exactly the same. You simply are not measured by GA4 and no affiliate cookie is placed.
